They say that all is fair in love and war; that depends on who writes the rules. War is an ugly thing and often times a number of innocents may and will be killed. But, should such travesties be swept under the rug and hidden from the American public? Ignorance is bliss and to be ignorant of the fact of drop weapons and what their purpose is is disturbing. It seems like America is the country of cover-up, but when it comes to the covering up of death a line should be drawn. Soldiers use drop weapons to hide the fact that an unarmed and/or innocent person was killed. These drop weapons are used as a convenience so guilt can be placed on the deceased rather than the killer. It is much easier to place fake evidence next to a dead body than to go through the process of investigations, trials and such. How long has this been going on and how much longer will it be tolerated? Only those involved can answer that question, but we, the public may never know because we are not supposed to know about it in the first place. I am all for keeping our men and women safe in the deserts of war but I wonder how long it will be before the use of dropped weapons will be used to hide the facts about the death of one of them.
